Automated ERP Interface

Timer Pro Professional utilizes a data model that can be populated from any external source.

Using the data model, information that resides in corporate ERP, MRP or production planning applications can be formatted for immediate use in Timer Pro Professional without any manual intervention.

The ERP interface offers a simplified user experience that enables Timer Pro’s powerful mixed model balancing, staffing and utilization tools to be used by shop floor personnel within minutes of training.

Shop floor users can save their work to their own personal work areas where they can maintain any number of what-if scenarios. Process balance charts and Gantt charts of each operator’s tasks can be reviewed and printed. Integrated in the package is the ability to a embed operation videos to assist operator training and quality initiatives.

As process improvements are identified and agreed they can be automatically passed back to update the corporate ERP database - the perfect continuous improvement (Kaizen) process.

Users of the Automated ERP Interface qualify for reduced licensing and maintenance fees.

Contact ACS for details of the ERP Interface program.

Excel-based Process Grid

In the Excel based process grid all model details imported from the ERP application are identified along with volumes to be produced by time period (optional) and all process tasks. If activity details of the individual tasks are available they are loaded as comments into the cell containing the total task time.

Task Details

If individual task activities have been identified in the download from the ERP application they are presented as chips in the stacked bars for each task, Shop floor users can then drag and drop process steps between tasks to improve the process throughput and reduce manpower requirements.  The effect of total staffing requirements is automatically updated as activities are moved between tasks.

Multi Model Balance

Data from the Excel based process grid is presented graphically inside Timer Pro Professional.  Each model is color coded and the common tasks for each module are grouped. In the example shown the takt time for the operation is the black line across the screen, The user can instantly see where opportunities to combine work may exist and where additional operators may be required.

Video Training

Timer Pro Professional allows you to attach videos to any activity. The videos can be played on the shop floor at any time by simply double clicking on the activity chip. This feature is ideal for operator training and methods improvement initiatives.

Staffing Requirements

At any point the user can review the staffing and equipment requirement based upon the production volumes. If work is moved between tasks in the background the staffing impact is automatically reflected in the total requirement. Data from the staffing grid can also be exported to Excel for additional review.
