Major Enhancements
As always, we appreciate ideas received from clients for enhancements to make Timer Pro even more robust and valuable. In summary, Version 22 now includes:
- AI analysis now available throughout Timer Pro – major Version 22 enhancement
- 100% Encrypted Saving and Improvement repository for recording and reporting CI initiatives
- Improvement suggestions can now be captured during a video time study
- Create a “Highlight Reel”, similar to a sports event summary, to promote your improvements
- A face blurring feature addresses privacy concerns about the use of video content
- High-low analysis and standard deviation-based exclusions add to video time study
- Ability to manually add times without video into a video time study
Below are detailed descriptions of each of these enhancements.
- Introducing Timer Pro AI
AI analysis has been embedded directly into Timer Pro’s Video Time Study and Balance Modules, enabling automated reporting and analysis based on your unique study data. We have specifically focused on initial queries to leverage the analysis of the studies by value added and non-value-added activities. This not only saves you time but also encourages consistency of analysis and reporting across your user base.
A unique feature of Timer Pro AI is the integration of AI-generated results with direct video playback. The accuracy of Timer Pro observations allows us to automatically sync your video content with the HTML text results coming back from the AI engine. We automatically embed hyperlinks into your AI results data that link to your specific video clips so your users can instantly view the actual footage of the activities under review. We are not aware of any other product in our market that offers this capability.
Timer Pro AI uses client-side saving of AI conversations, giving you full control over your data. AI requests and responses are deleted from our server after 4 hours for privacy and compliance. Your users, however, retain a complete local history for future reference and analysis.
Timer Pro client-side storage also streamlines your workflows by automatically prioritizing the most recently accessed queries, even if they were originally created weeks ago. It allows users to quickly find and resume work on their most active studies without having to manually search through historical data. This intelligent recall system supports better project continuity and ensures that valuable insights are never lost.
Adding these advanced AI capabilities into Timer Pro significantly enhances its value proposition in your continuous improvement initiatives and time study analysis.

- 100% Secure Saving and Improvement Repository
A 100% secure Savings and Improvement cloud-based repository has been introduced for clients to store and report on the results of their continuous improvement projects. Your IT team provides the unique encryption key to be used on their data to ensure full security. With your company ss the host of the repository, neither we nor anyone else can access your data as there is no way to know the key being used. Upon access, you are given the opportunity to paste your repository key. The key is never saved so only you control access to your data uploaded from the Saving and Improvement reports you develop locally. The repository provides detailed reports and summarizations of any number of projects. Timer Pro AI is now available to assist with summarizing your results.

- New “Improvements” Option for Data Collection
A new “Improvements” option has been added to the Data Collection ribbon of video time study to allow the capture of improvement opportunities during video analysis. The option recognizes whether the user is in one of the four continuous improvement modes (i.e. Lean, Kaizen, SMED or 5S) and presents the appropriate standard selection to support the process. Improvements defined in Video Time Studies can be passed to Balance module for further processing and reporting.
- New “Highlight Reel” option for Data Collection
A new “Highlight Reel” option has been added to the Data Collection ribbon. Similar to sport event coverage, you can now isolate specific events in a process and add your own audio narration and supporting notations to support your presentation of improvement opportunities.
- Face Blurring for Privacy
A face blurring option is now integrated into Timer Pro in response to privacy concerns. The recommended process to implement this is to compress the source video to reduce the size of the file, and then blur the video. The time required to blur the video will be reduced due to the compression of the file size.

- High-Low Analysis and Standard Deviation-Based Exclusions
All data in the study can now be presented by activity from shortest to the longest, simply by clicking on the label at the top on the activity description column in the video time study. This feature makes it easy to identify outliers that can be tagged to be suppressed from the time study summary. A drop-down selection allows you to enter the standard deviation you wish to examine the data against, enabling you to quickly isolate the effect of outliers on their standard times.

- Manually Add Times Without Video
Ability to add a manual time entry directly into a video time study, an option for long activities or machine times where an actual video adds little value.
